How to Meassure a Nightlatch Lock:

Step 1: (B) You will need to meassure the (Backset) from the first lower edge of your Nightlatch lock to the centre of the Nightlatch where the cylinder would be located the average size tends to be 40mm or 60mm. This is Meassurement (B)

Step 2: Meassuring the Height of the lock (C); Although this isnt a pivotal measurement all you simply have to do is meassure from the bottom of the Nightlatch lock to the top of the lock. Case height tends to be anywhere from 50mm - 80mm.

Step 3: Meassuring the whole Width of the nightlatch lock (A); this is a simple straight meassurement once again isnt important to how the lock fits the door as long as Step 1 is correct. You tend to get sizes ranging from 80mm - 100mm.

Nightlatch Locks are used mainly on a front door they tend to work with a Deadlock which would be located lower down on the door or even a sashlock.
